The San Diego Padres on Sunday acquired catcher Austin Nola through the Seattle Mariners included in a deal that is seven-player.
The main return for Seattle is regarded as San Diego’s top leads, outfielder Taylor Trammell. Other players within the Mariners’ haul are infielder Ty France, catcher Luis Torrens and right-handed relief pitcher Andres Munoz.
Also headed to your Padres are relievers Austin Adams and Dan Altavilla. A big-time right-handed supply whom struck down 51 in 31 innings just last year, Adams happens to be coping with ACL surgery but will return quickly and may be a good addition for north park alongside the recently obtained Trevor Rosenthal. Altavilla happens to be element of Seattle’s bullpen since 2016 but has starred in significantly more than 22 games only one time. This year, he’s 1-2 by having a 7.71 ERA in 13 appearances.
Nola is striking .306 this year for Seattle, with five house runs and 19 RBIs in 29 games since the group’s main backstop. Final period, he batted .269 with 10 homers and 31 RBIs in 79 games, and played first, 2nd and base that is third and both part outfield jobs.
Nola may be the older sibling of Philadelphia Phillies right-handed beginner Aaron Nola.
